ARSAT-N is really HELIOS-81N lens, renamed after USSR was destroyed. HELIOS-81N (or M) was a standard single coated lens with springblend aperture designed for Soviet SLR 35 mm Kiev-17, Kiev-19 and Kiev-20 cameras. The lens can be fitted on the Nikon cameras with "F" type bayonet, and will provide working TTL metering system via AI aperture driver. First HELIOS lenses family was borrowed from Carl Zeiss SONNAR lenses and issued since end of 1950th years in M39, then in M42 screw mount, and had not very good glory because were with low contrast in common... But latest versions of HELIOS lenses (include HELIOS-81M) became very sharp. This famous lens was manufactured in the USSR at the Arsenal factory at Kiev city, and features outstanding sharpness, contrast and color rendition. I saw photos taken with similar lenses several times before and I appreciated excellent pictures quality. In the main, most all Soviet and Russian lenses are exceptionally good and this one is no exception!
