Loewe Nappa tote shoulder bag - small (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎), 100% authentic pre-owned, approximately from the 80s-90s, made in Spain!
If you have any questions, please message before placing an order. All sales are final.
The leather is LOEWE's signature Nappa, the finest grade of leather! The entire handbag is incredibly, incredibly soft!
Loewe is my favorite brand, but personally, I feel the leather quality of the brand's recent new products has declined somewhat.
Perhaps it's due to a shift in market positioning and the addition of many new elements. New products tend to have thicker leather.
Once you've touched an older piece, you'll understand. The texture of new products is completely different from vintage pieces from past eras.
The Nappa lambskin from the old days is truly as smooth as a baby's skin (I sound like a pervert... |||||),
but it's genuinely soft, light, and thin, with a weight so negligible that it feels like no burden at all when used!
When I first started buying pre-owned bags, I was afraid of encountering fakes. However, a Japanese pre-owned dealer told me that Nappa lambskin products are impossible to fake.
You can tell the authenticity just by touching the material because the lightness and softness are something that imitation leather and synthetic leather cannot replicate!
Only genuine Nappa can achieve this level of softness! No exaggeration, it's the softest I've ever felt, surpassing all other leathers!
This design is minimalist and understated. I believe that unless you're specifically looking for LOEWE Vintage or are a devoted fan, you wouldn't recognize it as LOEWE.
But don't let its simple appearance fool you; this is a rare series within LOEWE's pre-owned collection, not something you can find consistently.
Many LOEWE Vintage styles are extremely minimalist, yet often, it's the simpler designs that are the most rare...
This is why I adore Vintage. For LOEWE Vintage, I've always adopted a "buy it if you can" approach!
As long as the style is right and the condition is good, even if the price is a bit higher, as long as it's within my acceptable and affordable range, I usually don't hesitate to acquire it!
This particular bag is one of my personal favorites for its practicality as a small shoulder bag. The entire bag features only a small, cursive 'L' metal emblem on the upper right front.
Let me share a little story about myself and this bag. A long time ago, I had the same model in black, in excellent condition, which I kept for myself.
Later, during a move, I had to declutter my closet, and a regular customer who was looking for something specific wanted to take it. So, I let it go. After the bag had been with its new owner for a while,
one day my partner asked, "[Hey~ why haven't I seen you use that black small square bag lately?]" I replied, "[Huh? What black small square bag?]"
Upon further inquiry, I realized he was referring to this one! My partner isn't the most observant type; he rarely notices (or remembers) what I'm wearing.
Even if he sees me in a nice outfit, he'll compliment it at the moment and then forget. If I wear it again, he'll compliment it again, thinking it's new...
Among all my bags, this is the only one he specifically remembered. I probed further to understand why. He explained that he found this style simple and uncluttered, easy to remember.
Plus, the leather looked high-end, and the feel was soft and plush, making it pleasing to look at and comfortable. The result?
Because of his "memory," I made an effort to find another one to keep for myself! So, I've kept this style twice now!! !
However! The bag currently listed for sale is not the one I kept for myself. I acquired this one because I saw it from a pre-owned dealer!
I highly recommend it; I can't help it. It's truly rare that simpler and lighter designs are so well-received by men...
The entire small bag is a pure black complemented by black hardware, a simple little bag made from the softest Nappa lambskin.
The bag is very thin and small, so it can be rolled up and placed inside a larger bag for a quick trip out for lunch (which is how I use it). It's incredibly lightweight.
The leather is fine and soft (no exaggeration, if you buy it and find it's not soft, I'll compensate you!). And the price for this model is surprisingly not high.
The capacity is much larger than the common half-moon shoulder bags, easily fitting normal essentials, a long wallet, and even a large phone.
⚐⚑˒˒The bag is in very good condition. It's not mint condition, but it's very practical and easy to style! The color is the ultimate versatile black.
The entire bag, including the corners and bottom, shows no significant peeling, scratches, or scuff marks. However, there are minor signs of use on the corners.
The single cursive 'L' emblem is rare for this series, and the design is exceptionally clean. The front 'L' emblem is black and silver; there are variations in color tone, creating lighter and darker areas.
(Personally, I find the varying shades beautiful and unique, like an iridescent effect, but undeniably, this is a flaw.) The inner clasp is also black and silver.
This color combination isn't due to oxidation; it was a special configuration for this series, a rare all-black vintage piece.
The metal tag area is clean, with the original protective film still attached. The internal zipper is normal and smooth, with the brand name and logo engraved on the zipper pull.
The interior lining is a satin lining with an embroidered brand logo; the black threads shimmer slightly under light (only you will see it...).
The long shoulder strap is also a soft, round, thin lambskin strap. The interior is like new, with no loose stitching.
Overall, the bag is in excellent condition, with no issues affecting its use. The flaws are the varying tones on the 'L' emblem and the marks on the corners. It comes with its original dust bag.
The most important thing is that the lambskin is incredibly comfortable to use, soft and supple! You can tell the quality of expensive leather just by looking at it.
NAPPA is one of those materials you recognize at a glance. The leather is so soft that wearing the bag is a genuine pleasure!
Most importantly, modern new products truly no longer have this level of high-quality leather. Don't believe me? Visit a LOEWE boutique.
Even modern items using the same Nappa technique do not possess this level of quality. LOEWE pre-owned bags are absolutely unbeatable in terms of value for money!

The main reason I love pre-owned bags is that the materials from past eras are vastly superior to modern new products.
In the past, most pre-owned items were ✦ handmade. There were no mass-production machines, only the warmth of craftsmanship.
The artisan's skill was undoubtedly much more delicate than any machine's, just as everyone loves products made by skilled artisans!
However, today, the vast majority of processes are done by machines with minimal human assembly, losing the subtlety of the past.
I think the simplest, most direct way to see this is to compare the recent reissued monogram patterns of various brands with the authentic monograms from older eras.
The level of detail in the monogram patterns alone is completely different. If you love monograms, you should look for pre-owned items! Truly!
In terms of style, older eras were more ✦ simple, timeless, and enduring. Nowadays, many new designs are actually reproductions of older styles.
However, new products are priced higher than older ones. New designs are usually based on older styles, with added details or altered designs.
The final product often ends up being more complex (or strange......) than its predecessors. I believe as we grow older, we understand one thing:
the simpler, the more enduring! As we age, we tend to return to basic clothing styles because the more fundamental, the more versatile.
The quality of raw materials in older pieces is superior to newer ones. If you understand ✦ leather, you'll see it. Most new materials are inferior to older ones.
The main reason is that the cost of high-quality raw materials is too high now, and their availability is less than before. Earth's resources are dwindling!
Furthermore, back then, brands didn't have the "ubiquitous" presence of numerous stores everywhere like they do now... The clientele mostly had a certain income and specific demands for the products.
There wasn't the "fast fashion" culture of today; a bag was expected to be used for many years.
The difference between new and old eras is clearly visible in the ✦ hardware. Many new hardware pieces oxidize and discolor after just one or two years,
but older pieces usually don't. Besides the high-quality materials and meticulous craftsmanship, hardware from earlier eras was often plated with real K gold!
It's worth mentioning that Chanel Vintage is expensive for a reason; many of its clasps and chains contain real gold, certified by gold merchants!
Therefore, even vintage bags from as early as the 60s and 70s, if well-preserved, can still shine brightly today.
As for new products available now, from what I know of the brands, none of their hardware contains K gold anymore, which is why they oxidize so easily.
Many people say buying Vintage bags is a form of alternative investment because they rarely depreciate and only increase in value.
This is because well-preserved pre-owned bags are becoming increasingly rare in the market; each one that disappears is gone forever. Remember, they are all discontinued models.
The number of existing pieces is finite, so they will only become fewer, more expensive, and harder to find.
Moreover, many brands increase their prices periodically, and each increase drives up the prices in the pre-owned market.
Or, if a brand releases a "reissue," the Vintage reference or similar styles will see a sharp increase in price!
Add to this the recent trend of Japanese and Korean celebrities using vintage items. Once a particular style is seen on a celebrity, its price skyrockets, truly skyrockets.
During that period, many people will frantically search for that style or a similar alternative, causing the prices of those few models to multiply...
Therefore, Vintage is truly a case of "buy early, enjoy early; buy late, pay more" (this isn't an advertising slogan... it's the truth in the pre-owned world...).
This is my personal experience; I regret not getting into many series earlier... I can't find them, and even if I do, they come with an exorbitant price tag...
But the problem is, even knowing it's an exorbitant price, you're forced to buy it because waiting will only mean a higher price (unless the condition is poor).
I'm often asked about bag maintenance (ᐢ.ˬ.ᐢ). I'll include a small note with detailed instructions inside the bag, so don't worry.
My personal habit is to take them out for maintenance when I organize my closet during seasonal changes (so each seasonal change is a big undertaking... |||).
Actually, pre-owned bags aren't that troublesome. When you're new to it, you just need to get used to regular maintenance and cherishing the bag. Once you form the habit, it's not difficult.
The materials of pre-owned bags are inherently excellent. As long as you don't use them roughly and preserve them properly, they can easily last another ten years and be passed down to your daughter!
Every pre-owned bag is one I love and therefore collect, so I hope you will love it too and be able to preserve it for years to come ☪︎ *.
☾︎.*·̩͙ If you're interested in purchasing, please message me for details. Feel free to ask anything. I'm looking for discerning buyers who appreciate pre-owned items ⸜❤︎⸝.
