With a hardness of 6.5-7, jadeite is relatively easy to carve and polish, which is why carved jadeite pieces and products are commonly seen in the market. Nowadays, some lower-quality jadeite can be made to resemble high-grade jadeite in appearance through strong acid immersion or laser etching to fill in color. In the market, jadeite products are typically identified by the letters A, B, and C to distinguish their quality: - Grade A Jadeite: Natural jadeite, unprocessed. - Grade B Jadeite: Bleached and resin-infused jadeite, which has undergone strong acid cleaning and resin filling. - Grade C Jadeite: Dyed jadeite, which has been artificially colored. Only Grade A jadeite is considered genuine; the rest are artificially treated. 💖 l Care Instructions l - For prolonged periods of non-wear, store in a moisture-proof bag to avoid prolonged contact with air. - Each piece of jewelry should be stored separately to prevent scratches from friction. Chain jewelry should be fastened before storing in a moisture-proof bag to prevent tangling. - Sterling Silver Material: Polish with a silver polishing cloth. - Gold-Plated/Filled Material: Wipe with a cotton cloth (do not use silver cleaning solutions). - Jadeite: Gently brush the jadeite with a soft, fine toothbrush dipped in clean water. Rinse with clean water and dry with a cotton cloth or allow to air dry in a ventilated area. Do not wear any jewelry while soaking in hot springs or exposed to seawater. It is recommended to remove jewelry when showering. Avoid contact with chemical products to prevent oxidation and fading. - It is recommended to apply sunscreen and spray perfume before putting on jewelry. - All jewelry is handmade. Avoid pulling, bending, twisting, or tugging while wearing. 🌹 l Pre-Purchase Notice l - Jadeite is a natural mineral, so it is inevitable that there may be small natural stone lines, inclusions, vein lines, black spots, white spots, impurities, mineral flaws, sand holes, or ice textures within the ice jadeite grade. The moisture-proof bag is made of PVC material with double the thickness to better isolate air and prevent jewelry oxidation. 💌 l After-Sales Service l - For elastic bracelets (Japanese silk thread), please contact us for replacement if you notice any loose threads. Free re-stringing service is available. - If 14k gold-plated/filled chains discolor due to contact with chemical products, they can be sent back for re-stringing (labor fee NT$300). - It is recommended to replace consumables annually, such as elastic threads / clasps / earring hooks / wax cords (labor fee NT$50-NT$150).
