An elegant swan brooch, bearing the subtle marks of time. Acquired in Paris, this motif of a swan is rarely seen. Crafted from metal, with gilded and hand-painted details. It has a substantial feel, with some paint wear and discoloration that do not detract from its beauty. Measures 8 x 3.8 cm. Allow us to share a detail about the clasp on the reverse. This type of clasp is known as a Trombone Clasp, or sometimes a Push-pull safety clasp. It is a design frequently found in French and European jewelry.
