Plating wears off over time, and the designer prefers the durability of pure materials, so unless requested by the customer, the jewelry is not plated. [Ring Size Measurement & Precautions] Many factors can influence your ring size, including finger shape, edema, measuring method, season, and temperature. Even when using a tool to measure, there’s no guarantee that the ring will fit perfectly. It’s normal for the ring to be slightly too big or small as long as it doesn’t slip off or cause pain from being too tight. When using a ring sizer, make sure it fits comfortably without falling off. If size 12 is too loose and size 11 is too tight, size 11.5 may be the best option. Keep in mind that fingers swell in summer and shrink in winter, so it’s ideal to have the ring slightly tighter in summer and slightly looser in winter. Alternatively, you can swap rings according to the season. Avoid measuring your ring size during swelling, as it may cause inaccurate results. If you don’t have a ring sizer, it’s recommended to visit a nearby jewelry store or silver shop to have them measure your finger with the proper tools for more accuracy. You can measure an old ring’s inner diameter and compare it with the size chart, or provide the measurement to the designer. The inner circle of the old ring must remain perfectly round; if it’s deformed, it’s not applicable. Using visual estimation often leads to errors, so a vernier caliper should be used for accurate measurement. You can cut a strip of paper about 5mm wide (paper that is too wide will affect measurement). Wrap it around your finger, pull it tight until it’s comfortable, mark the overlap, then measure the circumference of your finger and compare it with the size chart, or provide the measurement to the designer. This method is prone to errors if the paper isn’t pulled tight enough or too tight. Do not use a wide leather tape measure.
