They share the same lineage and similar appearance as horses, yet they consistently retain their wild nature and sense of distance, refusing commands and never altering their essence for human needs. For this reason, zebras in zoology and cultural symbolism never represent obedience, but rather clarity, boundaries, and an untamable free will. (The ribbon on the zebra is a classic element of the Belle Époque – a bow ribbon.) We selected MATTER, a high-end imported art paper with a distinct texture, presented in two colors: orange-red and blue. To fully express the rope pattern and tassel embossing, which carry strong antique jewelry imagery, we specifically chose a thick 270gsm paper. The blue-based zebra features silver foil and black foil stamping; the red-based zebra is stamped with pale gold foil and black foil. Each red envelope is hand-stamped with foil, with precise layering, showcasing the craftsmanship of a foil stamping artisan with 40 years of experience.
