Elegant traditional Japanese patterns on the pottery fragments are accented with freshwater pearls. The sides of the pottery pieces are finished with Kintsugi, allowing the gold to subtly shine from the side and adding a touch of refined elegance. This piece uses a modern, simplified Kintsugi method. Unlike traditional Kintsugi which uses natural urushi (tree sap lacquer), this method uses adhesive for bonding.
