Stone Series: You Che - Green Amethyst, Smoky Quartz

I named this piece "You Che," drawing from its meaning: "You" signifies seclusion and tranquility, while "Che" represents clarity and enlightenment. Its inspiration stems from the serene atmosphere deep within a forest. Sunlight filters through the leaves, casting dappled shadows that dance upon the ground. The air carries a calming essence, gently muffling all external noise, leaving only the rhythm of one's own heartbeat and breath. This piece is designed to guide its beholder on a journey inward. In the ancient text "Zhuangzi: The Virtue of Fulfillment," Zhuangzi recounts a dialogue between Confucius and Chang Ji. Confucius said: "No one mirrors himself in flowing water but in still water; only stillness can still all that mirrors. The life of trees comes from the earth, yet only the pine and cypress stand evergreen through winter and summer; the life of man comes from Heaven, yet only Shun was truly upright, fortunate to be able to rectify himself and thus rectify all beings."
