This is a delicate necklace strung with turquoise blue white hearts, Herkimer diamonds, lapis lazuli, and Karen silver beads. The turquoise blue beads are called "white hearts" because their cores are white. Antique white hearts (from the 19th-20th century) are becoming exceedingly rare these days. Turquoise blue white hearts, in particular, are incredibly scarce! We've incorporated not only the small, hard-to-find ones but also even rarer beads with striped patterns! (White heart bead size: length 0.2 cm, diameter 0.2 cm) Paired with these are highly transparent, double-terminated Herkimer diamonds. Herkimer diamonds are quartz crystals mined from the Herkimer region of New York State. Both small and larger crystals are linked together. They are interspersed with 18k gold-plated, flower-shaped silver beads. The tiny, abacus-shaped lapis lazuli beads are sourced from Afghanistan. As they are hand-carved, their shapes may be slightly irregular and their sizes may vary, which adds to their unique charm. Over time, with contact from skin oils, their deep color is maintained, but they may become slightly paler when dry. To preserve their color and prevent dryness, we recommend applying a very small amount of baby oil to your hands before wearing or if they appear dry. (Lapis lazuli bead size: diameter 2.5-3 mm) The mint green beads are square-cut turquoise with a rough finish. Their bright hue evokes the feeling of a tropical ocean. (Turquoise bead size: diameter 0.35 cm) Tiny, pebble-shaped Karen silver beads are used throughout. The clasp is also made of Karen silver.
