Product Description

©️ A Drop of Pure Heart ©️ Wood-Fired Water Dropper In the realm of brush and ink, the water dropper is the quietest, yet most gentle companion. Before each stroke, add a drop of clear water. Watch the ink slowly bloom, like a deep breath for the soul. The wood-fired water dropper retains the marks of fire and ash. Smooth to the touch, each one is unique. Each time you add water, find a moment of stillness, and your writing will gain a breath of life. #WoodFiredWaterDropper #BeautyOfCalligraphy #HandmadeCeramics #InTheRealmOfBrushAndInk The creations from P & F Ceramic Designs do not pursue mass production. Each piece possesses a unique concept and design, imbuing the process of hand-shaping or wheel-throwing with life. Every item is one-of-a-kind. Our works are created together as a couple, hence the signatures "Ping" or "Fan." Larger pieces will bear the "P & F Ceramic Designs" kiln seal, making them truly unique!! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51567264550_68d52fdae8_b.jpg **1. What is the origin of the materials?** We primarily use American clay, Japanese clay, and Miaoli clay from Taiwan for our creations. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51566346721_76eb324304_h.jpg **2. What is the wood-firing process?** American clay, Japanese clay, and Miaoli clay are mixed in different proportions. The creation process involves purely hand-shaping (no pottery wheel) to gradually form the piece. After basic shaping, the body lines are refined, then polished to complete the greenware. Once placed in the kiln, the pieces undergo a five-day, four-night continuous wood-firing process using natural longan and acacia wood. The temperature reaches over 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash deposits adhere to the works, forming a unique ash glaze. Simultaneously, the fire patterns within the kiln flow across the pieces, creating beautiful orange-red or blue-purple fire marks. After five days and four nights of ash and fire patterns intertwining, a week of cooling is required before a piece achieves its beautiful form! Due to the varying kiln atmosphere during each firing, the ash deposits and fire patterns on every piece will differ, making each creation truly unique! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51565533012_fdce6d65a3_h.jpg **3. What should our esteemed guests be aware of?** Product colors may vary slightly due to photographic lighting. As the pieces are purely handmade, they will inevitably bear the traces of the crafting process. Minor variations may also occur due to the firing process; slight irregularities in the rim or minor crafting scratches are considered normal phenomena and do not affect usability.
