**VOYAGE by SIAM1928 Perfume KHAM - EAU DE PARFUM** Perfumer: Nutt Wesshasartar Parfum Concentration: 20% Bottle Material: Glass Size: 30 mL / 1 fl. oz. “Kham” is a word in our Northern Thai dialect meaning unbeatable, in terms of invulnerability from supernatural power, possessing magical objects, amulets or tattoos, which are part of superstitious practice since the time of Lanna. As time flies by, those beliefs and tattoo patterns are being forgotten. Jun is a men’s wear brand in Chiang Mai, founded by Thanyapon Jittrapirom, who gathered the traces of Lanna culture and beliefs, and transformed those into a piece of art on fabric. The designs were printed on cotton fabric and dyed by myrobalan, which reminds us of smoke and dust from the burning incense used in superstitious practices. The fabrics are delicately processed into garments with a unique combination of Thai Northern culture. Blending both interest and passion in art, leads us to formulate this fragrance, “Kham”, which represents both strength and gentleness at the same time. The opening scent is a blend of incense and cardamom to simulate the atmosphere of a superstitious ritual. Bergamot and cypress are added to enhance the brightness of the aroma. The heart notes of this fragrance are the scents of worship offerings and tobacco mixed with ink and metal, depicting the process of being tattooed by a sharp metallic needle piercing into the skin along with whispers of enchanting spells to finally assemble invulnerability and also a beautiful artwork. The base note, we have chosen the scent of our special blend of Thai leather accord to connect all the scents together and Benzoin Siam resinoid that we have carefully selected represents invulnerability, together with vetiver, which gives a strong feeling and also a touch of sweetness at the same time.
