Natural Hetian jade cotton rope bracelet, carved with a "nothing to worry about" plaque, embellished with Hetian jade and other accessories, size: about 17.3*11.8*5.4mm.
The origin of the name of Wu Shi Pai
At the end of the Ming Dynasty, the famous jade carving master Lu Zigang integrated stamp, calligraphy and painting into jade plaques, which became famous for a while. Later generations called them "Zigang Plaques". One of them had no decorations, and was named "Wu Shi (Decoration) Plaque" because of its homophony. It was deeply loved by the public and widely circulated. "Wu Shi" means "no decoration", that is, the plaque surface is not carved. As the Buddha said, nothing is something. A smooth jade plaque leaves enough room for imagination and wishing.
Many Wu Shi Pai are not empty. Some simple patterns are carved on the head of the Pai. Ruyi auspicious clouds and antique patterns are more common. This kind of pattern is widely used and suitable for any scene and jade carving, so it can also add some interest to Wu Shi Pai.
The beautiful meaning of the Wu Shi card
Peace and well-being
Peace and safety, the "nothing" plaque is also called the "safety plaque", so it means peace and safety. From the perspective of shape, the plain jade plaque is generally polished to be flat and smooth, and its flatness implies peace and safety. There is nothing carved on it, that is, no decoration, which is homophonic with "nothing", and its meaning is also nothing. Put together, it means peace and safety. Sometimes it is also called "safety and safety plaque", usually referred to as "safety plaque".
Protect your life and make your dreams come true
Laozi's Tao Te Ching tells us that nothing is something, and having nothing means having everything. Therefore, the Wu Shi Pai is used as a wishing card and amulet, and everyone is vying to own it. It is said that as long as you "promise" your wish or blessing on the Wu Shi Pai and communicate with heaven and earth, the wish will come true and protect you for life. The "promise" here means
The same as "Yi Pan", it is a kind of communication and exchange between thoughts and the beloved Stone, forming a tacit understanding.
Simple and unpretentious
In traditional Chinese paintings, we are familiar with a word called "white space". In addition to color, brush and ink, Chinese paintings always leave some blank space, which is called "white space". The blank space in Chinese paintings is a song of poetry and beauty. The artistic method of blank space carries rich emotions and has an aesthetic effect that can only be understood but not expressed in words. "White space" refers more to a simple and leisurely concept. Nothing is nothing, nothing is good, this is the simple philosophy of us Chinese.
A good beginning is the beginning of everything
Everything begins with "nothing". "Everything in the world is born from something, and something is born from nothing". Because nothing gives birth to something, there are all things in the world. The Wu Shi Pai is just like this, implying a good start, the beginning of everything.
