Brass Care Instructions: Brass has always been a popular material for jewelry, known for its affordability and resistance to fading. However, like silver, brass can oxidize over time. Exposure to water, sweat, and air can deepen its color. While some appreciate the natural patina, you can prevent this by following these guidelines: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ Store in a resealable pouch when not being worn. If the luster appears dull, a few simple methods can help restore your item's original brilliance. Please note that if the surface is scratched, while the color can be restored, the high-shine finish cannot be recovered (though the matte, antique bronze look is also beautiful!). ♦ Use a toothbrush with a small amount of foaming toothpaste or tooth powder and brush gently, as if brushing your teeth. This can restore brass's luster. Be sure to dry thoroughly after rinsing. ♦ Wipe with a silver polishing cloth for a quick restore of shine (not suitable for brushed finishes). ♦ Squeeze lemon juice and dilute it, then soak the brass jewelry for about 5 minutes for a rapid shine restoration (not suitable for natural beads sensitive to acid, such as pearls).
