Honestly, if you measure by size, pre-owned wallets aren't significantly more cost-effective than pre-owned bags, especially for brands like LOEWE! Their pre-owned bags have always offered exceptional value for money, with good quality and reasonable prices (except for certain rare collections... like the snake bone or museum pieces...). Therefore, a wallet in good condition could easily cost as much as a bag in average condition, with prices being quite similar. However! Wallets are truly worth investing in more than bags, at least that's how I see it... because a wallet is something you use and touch every single day. Bags, apart from everyday or work styles, are often set aside for the next day or chosen based on mood and outfit coordination. But you rarely change your wallet frequently, right? At least, few people would switch wallets based on their outfit like they might with bags (does anyone change them often?). Usually, you use one wallet until it's worn out or until you feel like replacing it with another. So, a wallet is actually the most personal and frequently used item, followed perhaps by keychains or decorative charms for house or company keys. I started noticing wallets a few months after I began using pre-owned bags. I used to use a long wallet. But with small bags like shoulder bags, the space is extremely limited. After putting in a long wallet, there's even less room, so little that you can't fit anything else. So, I switched to a short wallet. Modern new wallets are expensive to start with, and the leather isn't very durable. That's why my focus has always been on pre-owned options. My top recommendation is definitely Loewe. Their styles are simple, the leather is durable and lightweight, and the wallet itself is thinner than modern versions in terms of size and thickness! This one in hand is a small square coin purse. Most pre-owned items from the past were ✦ handmade, imbued with the warmth of craftsmanship before the age of machines. The artisan skills of major brands are many times more refined than machines; every step is meticulously crafted! However, most processes today are machine-made and then assembled by hand. Machine-made parts lack the same level of detail. The most direct comparison can be made by looking at the monogram patterns of recently reissued vintage-inspired collections versus authentic vintage monogram pieces from older eras. The level of detail in the monogram patterns alone is completely different. If you love monograms, you must look for pre-owned items! Truly! In terms of style, older eras featured ✦ simpler, timeless, and enduring designs. Many current new designs are actually reissues of older styles. However, new models are priced higher than older ones. Furthermore, new designs are typically based on or modified from older styles. Ultimately, the designs become more complex than their older counterparts. I believe as you grow older, you understand one thing: simplicity endures!! The quality of materials in older models is also superior to new ones. Anyone who understands ✦ leather can tell; the materials used in new models are mostly inferior to older ones. This is mainly because the cost of high-quality raw materials is too high and supplies are scarce today, coupled with the fact that many brands had very high standards for their finished products back then. The difference between new and old can be most easily seen in the ✦ hardware. The hardware on many new models oxidizes and discolors after just one or two years of use, but this is rarely the case with older models. Besides the use of high-spec materials and meticulous craftsmanship, hardware from earlier eras was plated with real K gold! Apply a small amount to genuine leather for cleaning and to add moisture, but you don't need to do it after every use. Just periodically.
