SDGs jewelry featuring Kintsugi, upcycled from Hagi ware no longer in use.
Ceramics that are broken or chipped and no longer used are given new life, repaired with Kintsugi, and transformed into accessories.
The concept behind these pieces is to bring the beauty of nature and Japan's enduring traditions closer to you, transforming them into modern accessories that connect to the future and create new possibilities.
Fragments of Arita ware, showcasing a beautiful gradation of deep navy blue, are paired with large freshwater pearls to create this jewelry.
Kintsugi is applied to the sides of the ceramic fragments, so the gold accent shines even from the side, lending an air of refined elegance. The back features ceramic fragments in the same beautiful color as the front.
Adorn yourself with these pieces as a stylish accent to both casual and elegant outfits.
The posted photo shows surgical stainless steel posts, but they can be changed to screw-back clip-on earrings.
Length: The total length, including the pearl, is approximately 50mm.
Metal Fittings: Surgical stainless steel posts or Screw-back clip-on earrings
Weight: Although made from ceramic fragments, they are lightweight and comfortable to wear.
As these are one-of-a-kind accessories, they make ideal gifts.
They are also perfect for presents for your loved ones.
* The item pictured will be sent. However, if it has already been sold on another site, it may be made to order. In such cases, please note that there may be individual differences in the color, pattern, and size of the ceramic fragments and natural stones shown in the photos.
* "Kintsugi" is a unique Japanese traditional repair method that mends broken or chipped pottery using lacquer and gold powder. This work utilizes a modern, simplified Kintsugi technique. Unlike traditional urushi lacquer, which is made from the sap of the lacquer tree, this method uses adhesive for bonding.
The Kintsugi parts use lacquer (a manufacturer-created paint, not raw lacquer) and gold powder (brass powder, pearl powder), combined with UV resin for reinforcement.
