"Japanese Cherry Blossoms in the Tetsusen" combines cherry bark parquet techniques with the bark characteristics of mountain cherry blossoms. By thinning the bark that has been dried for more than a year, and then polishing it, the shapes of flowers and leaves are made. The techniques of cherry bark parquet are then applied layer by layer, and the texture is carved to give it a three-dimensional effect. Finally, the blue color is added. Colored shells are used as decoration to complete the final painting. These are wooden gadgets unique to Akita, a treasure trove of wood and technology that combine to be both strong and beautiful.
