Currently residing in Taiwan, they live in an old apartment in Taipei, dedicated to carving and creating stamps. Previously working as an editor for magazines and books at a publishing house, Chamil is now a full-time stamp designer. They release handmade original stamps seasonally, with 8 published collections featuring over 100 stamps. Their published books include "A Handmade Life in 12 Hours a Week," "Eraser Stamps, Open the Door!", and "12 Lessons for Beginner Eraser Stamp Carving: Next Stamp Class." Using erasers as the primary material, each stamp is meticulously carved stroke by stroke. Chamil's stamp designs often draw inspiration from everyday life, travel scenery and encounters, and things they genuinely love (including text, flowers, geometric shapes, nature, architecture, etc.). These elements are then deconstructed and reassembled, employing layered lines, simplified primary and secondary lines, English text, and symbols they've collected, to form the stamp imagery. They enjoy combining stamps and colors, exploring the unique interplay and repetition of various stamp sizes, and many graphic designs are derived from fragments of stamp prints, extended through stamping combinations (e.g., postcards/washi tape).
