Kalimantan Agarwood | Premier Singaporean Grade · Rich and Cool Fragrance
Among the Singaporean agarwood producing regions, Kalimantan agarwood has long been recognized as a representative of high quality. Located in Indonesian Borneo, this expansive island is roughly fifteen times the size of Taiwan yet has a relatively sparse population, allowing for extensive primeval rainforests—a vital environment for the growth and resin formation of agarwood trees.
In recent years, with the over-harvesting of agarwood resources, the yield of natural Kalimantan agarwood has rapidly declined. Agarwood that forms high oil content and rich fragrance has become exceptionally rare. High-quality Kalimantan agarwood circulating in today's market is often a matter of serendipity and possesses significant collectible value.
Kalimantan agarwood is known for its stable and rich aroma. Initially, it carries a distinct woody scent, followed by a natural cooling sensation, interwoven with notes of frankincense. Some aged pieces even reveal a gentle floral and fruity sweetness. The overall fragrance is layered, warm, and substantial, offering a scent that remains pleasant even with prolonged enjoyment, highly favored by agarwood connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike.
Currently, aged Kalimantan agarwood stored for over thirty years is even more precious. This type of agarwood, often preserved by previous generations of collectors, has matured and stabilized its aroma over time. Through online platforms, enthusiasts can browse and select with peace of mind, offering immense value whether for daily appreciation or long-term collection.

Born in Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1983, Kwood's background in craft design was shaped by his travels through Japan's streets, where he observed how wooden art infused old alleyways with warm, profound vitality. Objects resembling fragments of time, carrying traces of history and silhouettes of the future, seek a delicate balance between contrast and harmony, transforming into refined works that bridge the vision of a new generation with the simplicity of a bygone era. Agarwood, once ground into powder for appreciation, was in Japan solemnly placed in the most honored areas of the home, symbolizing vitality and light.
Originating from its production site, the agarwood wood is pure and unblemished, untouched by artificial processes like resin boiling, painting, or synthetic fragrances. It is presented in its most original form. Through ancient techniques of scent extraction, the outer layer of dried wood is meticulously peeled by hand, revealing the true soul of the agarwood. This not only imbues it with eternal vitality but also allows tradition and contemporary craftsmanship to subtly intertwine at the fingertips, creating a feast for both the eyes and the senses. Its rich aroma is like the condensation of time, gently drawing together past memories and future aspirations, allowing them to meet and resonate within the fragrance, extending endlessly, distant and profound.
