|░ Reasons to Love Jadeite ░|
"The human nourishes jade for three years, and jade nourishes the human for a lifetime."
Crystals possess a powerful aura but require regular cleansing. Jadeite, a natural hard jade, is gentle and soft in nature. While its aura may not be as strong as crystals, jadeite's inherent energy is exceptionally pure and clean, offering only beneficial influences and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been identified in jadeite. Its chemical composition is sodium aluminum silicate—NaAI〔Si2 O6〕, often containing trace elements such as Calcium (Ca), Chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), Manganese (Mn), Magnesium (Mg), and Iron (Fe).
White: Generally contains no impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron.
Black: Contains more than 2% chromium.
Green: Contains more than 2% chromium and divalent iron.
Yellow: Contains iron.
Purple: Contains manganese.
Blue: Similar to green but rarer than other colors.
Trace element "Calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, primarily found in bones and teeth, with presence in blood and muscles. Calcium is a vital regulator of bodily functions throughout life, from infancy to adulthood and old age, playing a crucial role in maintaining health and longevity. It is an essential macromineral that the human body cannot lack.
Trace element "Chromium" (Cr) is significantly important for maintaining normal physiological functions, helping prevent cardiovascular diseases, and regulating blood sugar. The human body cannot synthesize it and must obtain it through natural foods or supplements. Chromium can increase insulin sensitivity in type 2 diabetics, help obese individuals control cholesterol and blood sugar, and individuals under high stress lose chromium faster than average, making it particularly necessary for these three groups.
Trace element "Nickel" (Ni) is an indispensable trace element for the human body. An adult body contains approximately 6-10 mg of nickel, mainly concentrated in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the intestines, and unabsorbed nickel is largely excreted through feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
Trace element "Manganese" (Mn) is another type of trace element that protects the body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent certain age-related diseases.
Trace element "Magnesium" (Mg) is also a macromineral that the human body cannot lack. Like calcium, magnesium is essential for normal bone growth. Adequate magnesium effectively regulates calcium and maintains normal neuromuscular function, complementing calcium's role. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation, so deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can increase chronic inflammation and is linked to the occurrence of many chronic diseases, particularly the mortality rate of cardiovascular diseases. Some studies have shown that people who drink hard water, with relatively high calcium and magnesium content, have a lower mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, maintaining normal blood magnesium levels reduces the risk of atherosclerosis.
Trace element "Iron" (Fe) assists enzymes in biochemical reactions and metabolism, making it one of the "essential trace elements" for the human body. An adult body typically contains 3-5 grams of iron, with 60-70% located in red blood cells. Other cells also require iron to function smoothly.
Medical research suggests that jadeite possesses potent healing capabilities. Long-term wear of jadeite can not only prevent diseases but also alleviate or even treat certain conditions.
Treating chest tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions may experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can help alleviate common chest tightness. The jadeite pendant emits energy into the "Longhan" and "Shenfu" acupoints on the chest, and through continuous massage, it can achieve a complete resolution.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite is believed to have properties that "clear internal heat, nourish the heart and lungs, benefit hair and skin, fortify the five organs, calm the spirit, promote blood circulation, and sharpen the senses."
Regularly wearing jadeite jewelry allows its trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the harmonious balance of physiological functions in various organs.
Nourishing the skin: Jadeite ornaments, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, come into direct contact with the skin. The mineral elements in jadeite enter the body through this contact, nourishing the skin and making women appear fairer and more radiant.
Cooling down: Jadeite's naturally cool property provides a soothing and cooling sensation. During the Tang Dynasty, Emperor Xuanzong's consort, Yang Guifei, would hold jade in her mouth during the summer to relieve heat. Since then, summer has become a cooler season. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants are used to combat the heat.
The above are scientifically-based reasons for appreciating jadeite. Another, less tangible reason is its remarkable ability to provide comfort and a sense of healing when one feels down or stressed, offering solace as if receiving a gentle embrace.
