Additionally, the alcohol-based evaporation in perfumes can be too strong, lingering in spaces long after one has left. They are also prone to uneven application and are inconvenient to carry. Solid perfumes (balms), formulated with natural beeswax and plant waxes as a base, along with petrolatum, maintain a stable solid form regardless of ambient temperature, thus requiring no preservatives. Solid perfumes (balms) are alcohol-free, and the fragrance is released through body heat, offering a gentle, lingering scent that becomes a personal companion without being overpowering to others.
