|About Urushirindo|A long-established Fukui lacquerware shop with a history of over 230 years
It was founded by the first generation Nakajiro Uchida in 1793. For 225 years, the current eighth generation Toru Uchida has inherited the traditional craft "Echizen Lacquerware". In 2009, the new brand "aisomo cosomo" was launched, and in 2012, "Owanya Uchida" was launched. In 2020, "RIN&CO." was launched. Based on the concept of "bringing lacquerware into daily life", we produce, process, sell and repair lacquerware for commercial and general use.
#Hokuriku terroirxNordic design
The Hokuriku region where Urushirindo is located has similar climate conditions to Northern Europe. Due to the long cold winter, most people value their time at home, so they use the natural scenery of Hokuriku as inspiration to create colorful colors and a variety of Nordic-style simple designs, which makes them comfortable. Traveling in various Chinese, Western and Japanese cuisines.
#Innovation of craftsmanship into daily life
The latest Rin & Co. series uses "Echizen hard lacquer" in cooperation with Fukui University, which can withstand strong water flow and high washing temperatures in dishwashers. Compared with traditional lacquerware in the past, it has an epoch-making innovation and is more in line with modern daily life.
#craftsmanhandmadepersistence
Adhering to the solid and rigorous construction method, the "bristle mesh" coating pattern painted by the craftsmen personally makes the lacquerware more scratch-resistant. It requires the operator's concentration and proficiency. Once a failure occurs, there is no way to repeat it. At the same time, the paint itself is antibacterial and has excellent heat-insulating properties. It is not easy to burn your hands when put into hot soup, and it accompanies us in various home cooking moments.
|How to use|
*Dishwasher safe. It is recommended that the temperature setting range is from standard to low temperature.
*Do not use on gas stoves, microwaves or ovens.
*It is recommended to use a sponge for cleaning to avoid scratches.
*No chemical paint is used on each product, and all are painted by craftsmen themselves. The brush marks on the product are one of the charms of this product.
*If the lacquerware is damaged and needs to be repainted, it can be repainted for a fee. If you have any questions, please contact us again.
