Helios-44 with bayonet lens mount for Start camera is not so common as thread mount lenses. This famous lens was manufactured in the USSR, and features outstanding sharpness, contrast and color rendition, and very special bokeh and plastics, and it is the reason why modern photographers looks for HELIOS-44 lenses and installs it to modern dSLR cameras. I saw photos taken with similar lenses several times before and I appreciated very special pictures quality. In the main, most all Soviet and Russian lenses are exceptionally good and this one is no exception! ITEM'S CONDITION: EXCELLENT+++++ The lens looks like accurately used before, optics clean, without scratches, separations and fungus. Minor cleaning marks are presented. Cosmetically the lens looks nice for such age, just examine item's photos, please. Aperture is smooth, aperture jumps properly. All functions are available. TECHNICAL FEATURES * Brand: KMZ. * Model: Helios-44 * Focus 58 mm. * Angle of view about 42 degrees. * Optical registration 45.2mm. * Relative aperture 1:2.0 (up to 1:16 with f-stop clicks). * Springblend aperture: first at Soviet SLR cameras. * Springblend function can be switched off if you want to use the lens with other cameras or with self-timer at Start camera. * Lens mount is special bayonet (style Praktina) applicable for Start camera only. Also the lens can be used at old M39 SLR "Zenit" cameras with special adapter (for close up photos only), you can add one more M39/M42 adapter to it and you'll can use it with a lot of cameras (with one more adapter between M42 and your camera). But it will not provide "infinity" focusing with it.
