Embroidered patches are often called fabric patches, iron-on patches, or embroidered appliqués. However, most traditional embroidered patches require ironing to adhere securely to fabric or to cover holes in clothing. Our HiHao embroidered patches feature an adhesive backing that allows them to be applied without ironing. They stick well to smooth, non-fabric surfaces, making them ideal as stickers for water bottles, phone cases, laptops, notebooks, pencil cases, helmets, luggage, and more. Let's create something unique together! 🏷 How do I use the embroidered patches? Using our HiHao embroidered patches is simple! ▪️ For smooth, non-fabric surfaces: Peel off the backing and stick. No ironing is needed, and they stay put! ▪️ For fabric surfaces: Preheat your iron to 150°C (300°F). Place a pressing cloth over the patch to protect the embroidery thread from high heat. Iron for 20-25 seconds, then allow it to cool completely. For extra durability, we recommend reinforcing with needle and thread. If you don't have an iron, sewing the patch onto fabric by machine or hand will also ensure a secure attachment! 🏷 What if I can't iron or am unsure about ironing my fabric? For materials that cannot be ironed (e.g., down jackets, nylon, leather, waterproof fabrics) or if you're uncertain about your fabric's heat tolerance, we recommend securing the patch with machine or hand sewing to avoid damaging your item with high heat. 🏷 How strong is the adhesive? Will it fall off easily? Our HiHao embroidered patches have a strong adhesive that stays put on most smooth, non-fabric surfaces. If applying to fabric (like clothing, bags, or hats), ironing and sewing for reinforcement will enhance durability. 🏷 Will the embroidered patches come off after washing? Once ironed and reinforced with sewing, the embroidered patches can withstand machine washing without easily coming off. We suggest washing them inside out in a laundry bag. 🏷 Can embroidered patches be reapplied? The adhesive on our embroidered patches is for single use and cannot be reapplied. Please confirm your desired placement before applying. If you need to reposition after removal, the fabric patch itself can still be sewn onto fabric for decoration. 🏷 Will there be adhesive residue after removal? Due to the strong adhesive, some residue may remain after removal. This can be cleaned with sticker removers or adhesive removers. Before using any cleaning agent, please test it on an inconspicuous area of your item to ensure it doesn't cause damage.
