Work material/
Ceramic body – clay
Work size/
Ceramic body-approx.13.3X13.3X6CM
Production process/
After the green body is finished, it will take about 1-7 days to dry depending on the size of the green body. Detailed trimming will also be carried out during the process. The next step is to row the kiln and fire the kiln. The firing temperature reaches 800 degrees. After firing, the porcelain clay body appears light pink and has water absorption properties. This is the first firing of the body and is called bisque firing.
After the biscuit firing is completed, there is the glazing stage. The glaze is made of various mineral powders. It is attached to the body and then enters the kiln for a second firing, which is called glaze firing. The temperature will reach 1230 degrees. The glaze is in a molten state at high temperatures. After firing, it is roughly divided into matte or glossy surface depending on the composition of the glaze, and tightly and evenly wraps the body.
If gold water is used in the work, after the glaze is fired, a fine brush dipped in gold water is used to paint on the surface of the ceramic, and then it is fired in a kiln at 700 degrees.
Notes/
- Ceramic material has high hardness but is fragile. Please avoid friction and collision.
- To avoid damage to pottery due to its temperature-sensitive properties, please avoid sudden increases or drops in temperature.
- Due to the temperature-sensitive nature of pottery, please avoid using it in ovens, microwave ovens, and dishwashers.
- Since pottery is still slightly absorbent, please avoid soaking it in liquid for a long time to prevent it from absorbing dirt or odor.
- Please avoid friction between pottery and metal materials. In addition to scratching the surface of the pottery, the matte glaze may also leave scratches.
- After cleaning the pottery, please dry it or air-dry it before storing it to avoid moisture penetrating into the pottery and causing mold.
- Due to the different expansion coefficients between the clay body and the glaze, it is a natural phenomenon that cracks may sometimes appear on the surface of ceramics.
-The works are handmade, with different textures, colors, and shapes. Each piece is unique. Please think twice before purchasing.
