Because she liked it, from these daily utensils, she gradually developed feelings that integrate into life bit by bit. A handcrafted work with inspiration and personal unique vocabulary. It seems that the hustle and bustle in life can be soothed by spending time with clay. Even a simple bowl can be wiped away for a long time. Immersed in this state of concentration, the worries in my heart have been unknowingly erased. Settled, eased. Mieko's works combine the touch of clay molding, showing the emotional imprint of the clay after being kneaded, pinched, patted and pressed, and expressing personal emotional notes through the color of the glaze.
