Before a film becomes a movie, the hand-drawn lines and scribbled notes are often the most enchanting parts. I love the fragmented images at the start of a movie—no storyline, no causal connection between frames, like meaningless whispers. I love diving underwater, watching the interplay of light and shadow, the way the scene before me twists and sways with the ripples. All is quiet, all is still. Water drips softly from the faucet.
