Soun Agarwood "Ripe-Knot Black Agarwood": A Rare Treasure · Submersible Grade
【Mystic Origins】
Soun agarwood, due to its proximity to ports and oceanic environments, possesses unique climatic and soil conditions that imbue its aroma with a rare dual layering. This character, balancing delicate sweetness with a woody depth, is exceptional even within the Soun region. The aroma is rich and full, with natural transitions, a style particularly favored by connoisseurs.
Not a singular scent profile,
but a 立体 (lìtǐ - three-dimensional) aroma interwoven with sweetness, depth, and richness.
Its fragrance is palpable even before heating. Upon first placing it on the brazier, a slight sharpness emerges, which gradually subsides within a minute, revealing a dense, watermelon-like cooling sweetness. It evokes the elegance of Fushun red soil, the sweetness of Hui'an styles, and simultaneously carries the profound undertones of Xingzhou traditions. This Black Agarwood grade is remarkably resilient to heat, maintaining a stable aroma for 3-4 hours at temperatures between 120-160°C. With this piece in hand, you command the ultimate agarwood fragrance.
【Exquisite Craftsmanship】
● A Tactile Delight
Its texture is as smooth and warm as jade, with a substantial, satisfying weight upon holding. The surface is adorned with black resinous lines; as body warmth enhances it, the aroma unfolds like a lotus, layer by layer.
● Submersible Prowess
Its extreme density, causing it to sink immediately in water, signifies that the resin has completely sealed the wood fibers. With years of handling and polishing, its patina will deepen, exuding an even more profound nobility.
【Benefits for Mind and Body】
● Calms the Spirit and Settles the Mind: Relieves nervous tension.
● Pure Yang Energy: Dispels distracting thoughts, restoring inner peace.
【Rare Specifications】
Rarity: Raw material with such abundant resin that it achieves "submersible" status is truly a matter of serendipity.
Dimensions: 6 × 5 × 1 cm (Exquisite collectible piece).
Note: Scale reference: approximate electronic scale dimensions are 7 × 8.5 cm.

Artist: Kwood
https://images2.imgbox.com/66/c6/wVo3QFy7_o.jpeg
Born in Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1983, Kwood's background in craft design led him to wander through Japan's streets, experiencing how wooden art injects warm yet profound vitality into ancient alleyways. Objects that seem like fragments of time, carrying traces of history and the contours of the future, find a subtle balance between opposition and harmony, transforming into delicate works that intimately connect the vision of a new generation with the simplicity of old eras. Agarwood, once ground into powder for appreciation, was traditionally placed in the honored, sunlit areas of homes in Japan, symbolizing vitality and light.
Sourced directly from its origin, the agarwood is pure and flawless, untouched by artificial processes like resin boiling, line drawing, or added fragrances. It presents itself in its most natural state. Through ancient scent-extraction techniques, the artist meticulously peels away the outer layers of the deadwood by hand, revealing the true soul of the agarwood. This not only grants it eternal vitality but also allows tradition and modern craftsmanship to subtly intertwine at the fingertips, culminating in a feast for the eyes and nose. Its rich aroma, like solidified time, gently draws together past memories and future aspirations, allowing them to meet and resonate within the fragrance, an endless, distant, and profound experience.
