We value its relaxed, natural appearance that allows you to enjoy "aging" rather than "deterioration." As it's woven on shuttle looms over 100 years old in Kurashiki, there are inevitably "weaving flaws" that may initially appear as "frays." These are unavoidable with the use of old machinery. However, in addition to thorough quality control at the factory, we strive to avoid them during fabric cutting and, if found, use them in less conspicuous areas. Nevertheless, due to the nature of the machinery, it's impossible to eliminate them entirely. We hope you will appreciate these weaving flaws as a mark of the traditional shuttle looms and a unique characteristic of the fabric.
