These earrings feature swirling African brass, green-blue beads, and ethnic bells.
The brass beads with a thin rolled pattern are sourced from Africa, featuring a swirling motif on both sides. They are well-crafted and have a satisfying weight.
(African brass bead size: 1.4cm length, 1.4cm width)
The green-blue beads are antique beads known as Indo-Pacific beads. The origin of Indo-Pacific beads dates back to the 2nd century BCE. These particular beads are excavated artifacts from Indonesia, dating back to approximately the 10th century – over 1000 years old! As they are vintage, they may show minor scratches. To prevent drying, which can cause them to appear lighter, apply a tiny amount of baby oil with your fingers to maintain moisture.
The bells are components from the Kuchi tribe of Afghanistan, originally part of decorative items, and are considered old stock.
These substantial earrings allow you to enjoy the unique metallic beads from distant lands alongside glass beads that have journeyed through time.
