⚫️ Plant Introduction Also known as "Fire Thorn," and due to its branches, leaves, and fruits resembling the ornaments on ancient scholar-official caps, it has a very auspicious common name: "Zhuang Yuan Hong" (Scholar's Red). A species with a robust growth habit, it fruits through self-pollination. It flowers in spring, around March, and fruits through self-pollination, requiring no external pollination. After flowering, it produces green fruits (April-May). Mature plants bear fruit beautifully and spectacularly. In late autumn, the fruits turn orange-red, and in winter, they deepen to a dark red.
