⚫️ Plant Introduction
Also known as "Fire Thorn," and due to its branches, leaves, and fruits resembling the ornaments on ancient scholar-official caps, it has a very auspicious common name: "Zhuang Yuan Hong" (Scholar's Red).
A species with a robust growth habit, it fruits through self-pollination.
It flowers in spring, around March, and fruits through self-pollination, requiring no external pollination. After flowering, it produces green fruits (April-May). Mature plants bear fruit beautifully and spectacularly. In late autumn, the fruits turn orange-red, and in winter, they deepen to a dark red. It has the longest fruiting period among currently cultivated bonsai species (approximately April to December).

⚫️ Watering
Avoid using a spray bottle for watering; instead, pour directly or submerge for about 5 seconds.
Water when the surface soil is slightly dry. In summer, water until it flows out of the drainage holes.
Water 1-2 times daily if exposed to full sun.
Water once daily if in partial sun.

Can be cultivated in partial sun or brighter conditions.
