As it is woven on shuttle looms over 100 years old in Kurashiki, occasional "weaving flaws" may appear, which can look like minor "frays." While these are unavoidable with the use of vintage machinery, we make every effort to minimize them through rigorous factory inspections and careful fabric cutting, using them in less conspicuous areas when found. However, due to the nature of the machinery, they cannot be entirely eliminated. We hope you will appreciate these weaving flaws as a mark of authenticity, a characteristic born from the use of old shuttle looms, and embrace them as part of the bag's charm.
