Lustrous black and the warmth of clay.
A modern mug with a wide mouth that lets aroma spread.
This mug, crafted by Tsurumi Kiln in Higashimine Village, Fukuoka, features a beautiful contrast of black and beige.
■ Contrasting textures like different materials The glossy “black glaze” anchors the piece, while the matte “beige” clay body is applied centrally. At their boundary, Tsurumi Kiln's signature dotted pattern is applied like stitching, adding warmth to the cool design.
■ Wide rim for savoring aroma With a rim diameter of 9.5cm, it's slightly wider than standard mugs. This shape not only allows coffee's aroma to rise gently but also makes it easy to use a spoon, making it ideal as a “soup mug” for corn soup or minestrone. The large handle provides a secure grip and excellent stability.
■ Please note that actual colors may differ from photos due to monitor settings.
