Amethyst: A Sparkling Story

There are many flows in the world. The flow of people. The flow of things. The flow of water. The flow of time. As long as we live, things flow, albeit slowly. As they flow, their shape and color change. At some point, they sparkle beautifully. By engraving that sparkle in my heart and remembering it, even after it fades, I feel like it will sparkle again. The seasons change. The atmosphere changes. The beautiful purple light also changes with the times. Until recently, violets were in bloom. Until recently, hydrangeas were in bloom. Every time I spot the changing purple colors with the seasons, I feel my heart sparkle. This time, I created a ring combining silver and amethyst. A rose-cut stone is set in six prongs, and the entire ring is engraved with engravings, giving it an antique feel while also creating a flowing image. *Please specify your size when ordering. Sizes available are 6-20 (in 0.5 size increments). Other stones can also be added, so please feel free to ask any questions if you're interested. *Important* This ring cannot be resized after production due to the engraving process that engraves the entire ring. Natural Stone Description Amethyst Amethyst, the February birthstone, is characterized by its clear purple glow. It has been used in jewelry since ancient times in Egypt, Judaism, and Christianity. It was known as the bishop's stone in Christian circles, and all Christians wore amethyst rings. It has long been known as a "stone to prevent intoxication," and it seems to have been associated with the wish to avoid being overwhelmed by emotional waves. Silver 925 Silver 925 (also known as sterling silver) is a blend of 92.5% silver and other metals, such as copper. Because 100% pure silver is not durable enough for jewelry, 925 silver is often used for jewelry. It is also notable that 925 silver as a base metal is rarely sold to the general public. Like brass, silver can darken or yellow due to "sulfidation" caused by components in the air. Wiping it down after contact with water or sweat and storing it away from air during everyday storage will help maintain its shine. You can remove dark spots by polishing it with silver polish, but be careful as silver polish contains abrasives and can cause over-polishing or damage to the natural stone. The most important thing to be careful of is bathing in hot springs. The sulfur and other elements in hot springs can cause silver to turn completely black, making it impossible to polish.
