Hand-woven Linen Stole [Houfu*03]
Material: 85% Linen, 15% Polyester
Size: Approx. 40cm x 170cm (excluding 6cm fringe)
This medium-sized stole is hand-woven using the finest 120-count linen threads, sourced from a reputable yarn wholesaler in Kyoto. These threads are dyed in various colors from their raw, undyed state. The resulting fabric is exceptionally thin, almost sheer, with a soft drape and no stiffness, allowing it to lie gently and comfortably against the body.
A border design is created by weaving together linen threads in blue, violet, and grey, interspersed with polyester fancy yarn. The three-dimensional textured yarn adds depth and character to the fabric's appearance.
The ultra-fine ramie linen yarn, half the thickness of standard linen used in hand-weaving, is characterized by its minimal fiber fuzz and subtle sheen. With a meticulous warp count of 516 threads, it results in a fabric of fine density and an exceptionally supple texture. Linen stoles offer superior moisture absorption, breathability, and quick-drying properties compared to cotton, ensuring a dry and refreshing feel against the skin. This makes them suitable for year-round wear, from spring through autumn.
*As this piece incorporates textured synthetic yarn, please iron with the iron slightly lifted and use steam only.
*If you would like gift wrapping, please let us know, and we will be happy to provide it free of charge.
