When we wear crystals, we resonate with their energy, which is why __regular purification of your crystals is important__. It's recommended to establish a habit of purifying your crystals periodically, for example, on the 1st of each month or during a full moon (the 15th of the lunar calendar). There are many ways to purify crystals; you can find detailed explanations in books and online. While soaking in saltwater is a commonly mentioned method, some crystals and metals are delicate and can be damaged by salt or water, so Joyce personally advises against it. If you have white/purple crystal chips, geodes, or clusters, you can place your crystals directly inside or on top of them when not wearing them. Of course, the chips, geodes, and clusters used for purification also need regular cleansing, such as by sun exposure for solar purification or moonlight for lunar purification. Joyce finds __smudging with smoke__ to be the most effective method! You can light sage, dried cedar leaves, dried mugwort leaves, or incense, and then __use the smoke for purification__.
