I am totally fascinated by this painting. I love how she has no hair around her ears. It gives her a super rocker look. Her eyes, which seem to be slanted, made me want to “Chineseize” the story. That's why I emphasized her Asian look with an eye line and treated the background as a Chinese inlay. I deleted the baby from the picture (Renaissance babies are always too weird) and reconstructed the sleeves behind the child. And I modified her hands to emphasize the religious and meditative aspects. Finally, I put the crown on her head, because she deserves it on her beautiful head.
