Hand-woven Linen Stole [Seifu*02]
Material: 97% Linen, 3% Silk
Size: Approx. 40cm x 170cm (excluding 5cm fringe)
This medium-sized stole is hand-woven using the finest 120-count linen yarn, the thinnest available, sourced from a yarn wholesaler in Kyoto. The yarn, originally undyed, is then dyed into various colors before being woven by hand. It is so thinly woven that it appears translucent, possessing a light, soft drape that conforms gently to the body without any stiffness or coarseness.
Using two shades of pink and grey linen yarn, the pattern is varied between the center and the edges. You can enjoy different expressions by how you choose to wear it.
The ultra-fine ramie linen yarn, half the thickness of standard linen yarn used in hand-weaving, is characterized by its minimal fiber fuzz and subtle sheen. With a fine density of 500 warp threads, it offers an exceptionally supple texture. Linen stoles are superior to cotton in absorbency, moisture-wicking, and quick-drying properties, ensuring a non-sticky, comfortably dry, and fresh feel against the skin. This makes them suitable for three seasons, from spring to autumn.
*Creases may form during shipping. These can be easily removed with a light touch of steam from an iron.
*If you would like gift wrapping, we offer it free of charge. Please let us know.
