Vintage English bone china teacup and saucer with rose design made by Richmond.
Richmond was a bone china brand introduced in 1958 by British Anchor Pottery. This company was founded in 1884 at Anchor Road, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. In 1970, the Gailey Group merged their British Anchor into their business.
The mark at the bottom of these items was introduced in 1950. The cup is in good condition with a little wear on the gold only as well as a production at the base of the cup. The saucer has small wear on the gold rim and print as well as surface marks towards the center due to usage. There is a tiny (1mm) chip underneath on the foot, which is likely a production flaw, and a a small patch (2cm) of craquelure due to aging. The photographs are a part of the description.
cup: 9cm diameter x 7cm height (not incl. handle)
