I think the true beauty of hydrangeas really shows when they are under the gloomy skies of the rainy season and in the rain. The May showers, which fall gently and lightly wet the leaves and petals, are the flower lover of flower lover that makes hydrangeas smile. We have replicated the shape of a single branch, and made this brooch with the aim of making it a piece that can be treasured and kept in your hand for many years. For the frame of the hydrangea, the part we often call the hydrangea flower lover, we chose a beautiful acrylic bead flower motif colored in magenta pink, green, and blue, like iris glass, also known as the rainbow, on a Acrylic fabric with a moist texture. For the center of the hydrangea, the part that corresponds to the actual flower lover on the plant, we chose a glass stone that sparkles with raindrops in it. The colors were chosen from vintage crystal glass stones made by Swarovski of Austria and glass stones made by Preciosa of the Czech Republic. The blues range from transparent to milky white, colorless and transparent, "vitrail light" is a pale purple to iridescent color, and "mesmera" changes color from purple to pale green in natural light and fluorescent light. The metal parts set with glass stones are deadstock vintage parts that were once purchased by the workshop of the legendary costume jewelry brand Miriam Haskell, but were left behind and released to the present day without being assembled into accessories. I don't know how these parts were used by Miriam Haskell, but I could imagine them shining in the center of a hydrangea, so I purchased as many as I could get my hands on. As this is a rare part and we are not sure whether we will be able to procure it again, we will limit the number of units available for sale to two. The raindrops dripping from the leaves are represented by Czech beads. We hope that you can sense the delicate charm of hydrangeas wet with dripping rain through the choice of colors and materials.
