Therefore, returns or exchanges for these reasons cannot be accommodated. • If the glaze exhibits a crackle effect, fine lines will form. These may absorb pigments when in contact with deeply colored foods, which is also part of the glaze's aesthetic expression. ⸻ About Crackling Glaze • Also known as "craquelure" or "ice crackle," this occurs when the ceramic body and glaze have different shrinkage rates. The cracks are confined to the glaze layer, and the ceramic body itself is flawless. • Some cracks may appear within a week of removal from the kiln, while others may take years to manifest.
