**【Designer: Chami CHAMI GARDEN】**
With a pure passion for stamp carving, Chami is a stamp artisan who dedicates each day to meticulously crafting stamps and offering carving workshops. Residing in Taiwan, they work from an old apartment in Taipei, diligently creating and living through their stamp artistry. Previously an editor for magazines and books at a publishing house, Chami now focuses full-time on stamp design. Each season, they release original handmade creation stamps, with 8 published collections featuring over 100 unique stamps. Their published books include "A Handmade Life in 12 Hours a Week," "Rubber Stamps, Open the Door!," and "12 Lessons for Beginner Rubber Stamp Carving." Utilizing erasers as the primary carving material, each stamp is slowly and carefully crafted stroke by stroke.
Chami's stamp designs often draw inspiration from everyday life, landscapes and encounters during travels, and cherished interests (such as text, florals, geometrics, nature, architecture, etc.). These elements are then deconstructed and reassembled, employing intricate line and plane intersections, minimalist primary and secondary lines, foreign characters, and personal symbolic notations to form the stamp imagery. Chami enjoys combining stamps and colors, orchestrating solo and collaborative compositions of varying sizes, and exploring repetition. Many graphic designs also originate from fragments of stamp prints, extended through stamping and arrangement into pieces like postcards and washi tapes.
