A tumbler featuring hand-painted plum blossoms blooming in a pottery studio garden in spring, with swallows in flight.
This piece allows you to experience the earthy texture of the clay, the beauty of Japanese aesthetics, and the feeling of the season.
Enjoy your favorite teas, sake, coffee, and more.
This tumbler is crafted using coarse Shigaraki clay, shaped into a square while the clay is still soft, then hand-painted with designs and fired. The iron glaze used for the painting was made with raw materials sourced from a nearby rice paddy and mixed in our own pottery studio. Each side of the tumbler depicts a motif: plum blossoms and swallows. The simple yet warm illustrations enhance the profound character of this piece. It can also be used as a small bowl.
This tumbler makes a thoughtful gift that will be cherished by your loved ones.
You can also enjoy how its character deepens with each use.
Size: Diameter 8.0cm x 8.0cm, Height 7.5cm, Weight 240g, Capacity 200cc
*Not suitable for use in microwave ovens, dishwashers, ovens, or with cleansers or nylon scrubbers.
