About the Iconography and Traditional Interpretations
The central section of the "vajra" handle on Esoteric Buddhist vajra bells commonly features four circular markings.
These are traditionally said to symbolize the four eyes of Mahāvairocana Buddha.
In meditative practices, they are often used for subduing obstacles, purifying the spiritual space, and other purposes.
