Shakyamuni was born into a royal family of the Kshatriya caste in a region that is now southern Nepal. In Buddhism, Shakyamuni is considered the most revered being in the world, hence disciples and followers often address him as World-Honored One. The Buddha is not a deity, not a god in the religious sense, as all Buddhas were born as ordinary humans. The *Ekottara Āgama* states: "All the Buddhas, the World-Honored Ones, arise from the human realm; they are not attained from the heavens." Six-Syllable Mantra | The Six-Syllable Mantra of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, also known as the Great Mantra of Six Syllables, is a widely propagated Buddhist esoteric mantra, popular in Tibet and Han Chinese Buddhist regions. It is commonly referred to as the Six-Syllable Mantra, the Great Mantra of Six Syllables, or the Six-Syllable Dharani. Its mantra is "Om Mani Padme Hum." The six syllables are: "Om," "Ma," "Ni," "Pad," "Me," "Hum." These syllables are transliterated into Chinese characters as 唵 (ǎn), 嘛 (mā), 呢 (ní), 叭 (bā), 彌 (mí), 吽 (hòng).
