The red-bellied tit is a small tit species endemic to Taiwan. The distinctive black and white head is matched with grey wings and a deep rust-red chest and abdomen. Very similar to the Violet Tit, but does not overlap in range and lacks any white on the ventral surface. They live in groups and are noisy, often making high-pitched chirping sounds when foraging in groups, and occasionally mix with other species.
