Each chopstick in this set has been carved from natural Beechwood by craftsmen in the town of Wakasa, Fukui Prefecture, Japan. The octagonal shape reflects the Japanese reverence for the auspicious number 8, for on its side resembles the universal symbol for eternity.

Instructions for use
Fuji Wan Rice Bowl / Eggplant Serving Dish
・ Please wash thoroughly before use.
・ As ceramic material can absorb water, please be sure to thoroughly dry this cup after use, and before storing. Any water remaining may cause odor and / or mold to appear.
・Not dishwasher safe.
・ Please discontinue use if it becomes chipped or cracked.
・ Wash with a soft cloth or sponge using a dishwashing detergent that has been diluted in lukewarm water.
・ Please refrain from sliding this bowl over table surfaces as it may cause scratches.
Chopstick Rest
・Do not expose this Chopstick Rests to direct flame or place in the oven.
・Not for use in microwave ovens.
・Please wash with mild detergent and a soft cloth or sponge.
・Should these chopstick rests lose their luster, please polish them back to life using any commercially available metal polish, baking soda, or toothpaste.
Chopsticks
・Please wash with hot or cold water after every use, and dry with a soft cloth.
・Please keep out of direct sunlight, as this may cause changes in the color and / or shape.
・Although these chopsticks have been sealed with a thin urethane coating, please refrain from soaking these chopsticks in water for prolonged periods of time. As well, do not scrub or polish these chopsticks with a scrubbing brush.
