As it is woven on shuttle looms over 100 years old in Kurashiki, there are inevitably "weaving flaws" that may initially appear as "frays." These are unavoidable when using old machinery. We strive to minimize these by thorough inspections at the factory and by carefully avoiding them during fabric cutting. If found, we use them in less conspicuous areas. However, due to the nature of the machinery, it is impossible to eliminate them entirely.
