The low level of human development and the sustainable environmental protection concept of the Dawu people have allowed Orchid Island to retain its original natural features. There are not only rich marine ecology, but also many rare and special species of animals and plants on land. When I came to Lanyu, I followed the guide of the Dawu tribe to the Yongxing Farm in the Silver tribe to observe the ecology at night. The Lanyu scops owl, which is called "dudu fog", and Taiwan's protected coconuts Crabs can be found in Orchid Island. After the nightly eco-guided tour, head to the neighboring beach to see the intertidal species of Orchid Island. In the traditional Dawu culture, fishing is the work of men, while intertidal collection is the specialty of Dawu women. All kinds of shellfish and sea vegetables may be common delicious dishes on the table of Dawu people. Follow the local Dawu guides and commentators for a night view and intertidal adventure.
