A plant-dyed cotton stole (shawl) hand-woven by the Karen tribe of Thailand.
Beautiful design with traditional Karen weaving pattern.
Weaving such a pattern takes even longer than regular weaving.
It is a very elaborate piece that took about 2 months from dyeing the cotton thread with plants to weaving and finishing work.
While incorporating traditional weaving patterns, the ethnic feeling is modest, so it is convenient and easy to match with everyday wear.
Even if you just match it with a simple style, it will be very fashionable.
It is also a nice point that it can be used for a long time as a shawl or throw from autumn to winter and spring.
Feel the gentle colors of plant-dyed cotton and the comfortable texture that gets softer the more you use it.

[Regarding care for plant-dyed products and hand-woven products]
Plant-dyed products are less resistant to washing and sunlight than chemical dyes, and their color changes with use. Pay attention to the following points when cleaning and using the product.
Color may transfer or fade due to friction or wetness. Be careful of color transfer when wearing or using light-colored clothes or bags. If you use dark-colored clothes and bags together, even if there is color transfer, it will not be noticeable. Dark colors and indigo are especially prone to fading, so we recommend washing them before wearing.
Also, when washing, we recommend hand washing separately from other clothes. When using a washing machine, use a neutral detergent, put it in a net, and wash it separately from other clothes on a gentle cycle. (However, washing in a washing machine is likely to cause color fading and damage to the fabric.) Avoid using a dryer and dry in the shade.
・About gluing.
In the case of cloth products, threads that are starched with rice may be used, but the starch will come off after several washes.
