RARE Vintage Juliana Brooch D&E DeLizza & Elster Moroccan Matrix Pin XL size This huge brooch is embellished with unique Moroccan Matrix that was emblematic for DeLizza & Elster creations.  Crafted in the United States in the 1960s, this brooch features a hexagonal shape of a flower or a snowflake. The brooch is  adorned with big black art glass and smoked rhinestone accents.  Made with exquisite attention to the details, outstanding design and craftsmanship. These brilliant craftsmen had been producing masterpieces for decades but had never put their own brand name on it. They had preferred to remain “behind the scenes”. The D&E duo carried out orders for Hattie Carnegie, Hobe, Albert Weiss, Kramer of New York, Karu, Tara, Kenneth J. Lane… and many other brands, as well as for “luxury” department stores such as Bergdorf Goodman. In 1967-69, D&E released their own collection under the Juliana brand. Unfortunately these jewelry pieces were marked only with paper tags, which, naturally, were lost over time. So D&E pieces are always unsigned but there are certain materials and technologies that are well-known and described in the collector’s books. For instance «Moroccan Matrix» elements were used by D&E for their collections for Celebrity brand. Wear this oversized brooch as an ultimate «conversational» piece.
